Royale is a new vision from filmmaker Dan Brown. Dan began his career at the ultra-trendy, now defunct Propaganda Films in Los Angeles. Fires, mudslides and earthquakes sent him to Austin where he produced commercials for the advertising agency GSD&M. During that time he took a leave of absence and wrote, directed and produced the award-winning indie film American Detective.
Brown left the agency to pursue directing and tackled television shows such as Rollergirls (A&E), Downtown (PBS), and Heavy (A&E), as well as commercial work for the Austin production company Action Figure.
In 2009, Brown co-founded the production company Curiosity Shoppe, where he directed commercial work for such clients as Harley-Davidson, Dell, Coca-Cola, Southwest Airlines and AT&T.
Awards include two Emmys (for Downtown), New York Festivals (Gold Medal), National Addys and Showtime's Tony Cox Award for Screenwriting.
